Asus Airo – An Origami Folding Laptop

Looks like Asus got fed up of releasing gazillions of cumbersome Asus Eeepc models. They finally decided to come up with a totally different model. Check out the Asus Airo, the origami inspired folding laptop. It’s sliding keyboard enables ventilations to the laptop. To make this even more tempting, the price is much more affordable compared to other ultra-slim laptop such as Macbook Air and Dell’s Adamo. The estimated price range of Asus Airo is between $1,000 and $1,500. The target date for commercial release would be at September and October. No word about the specs, but I’ll post it up soon.

Despite it’s ergonomic design, it looks delicate enough to make you wonder it’s longevity. I hate to imagine accidentally dropping this and scatters into gazillion pieces.

Dell Adamo – Macbook Air Clone

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

The Dell Adamo Ultra Slim laptop sports stylish, edgy and avant garde look. Dell is really eager to go on head to head collision with the Macbook Air.

While it’s touted to be as the slimmest laptop, it looks clunkier compare to Macbook Air. It doesn’t help that it’s still ridiculously overpriced. Maybe they’re trying to dodge the title “Poor Man’s Macbook Air clone”. With the current recession blues looming around they really need to reconsider the price.

What makes this more interesting is that the laptop’s battery isn’t replaceable. You’ll have to send it back to Dell to replace it. In case windows freezes on you, good luck waiting 5 hours for the battery to drain out so you can reboot.
